Capt. Ibrahim Traore states that Burkina Faso will stop at nothing to put an end to colonialism in the country.

Burkina Faso is a landlocked country in West Africa with an area of 274,223 km². It borders Mali to the northwest, Niger to the northeast, Benin to the southeast, Togo and Ghana to the south, and Ivory Coast to the southwest. As of 2021, the country’s estimated population was 20,321,378.

Thirty percent of its people are Muslim, and various native dialects, like Mooré and Dioula, are spoken alongside the official language, French. Burkina Faso has tremendous heat during the dry season and is regarded as one of the world’s poorest countries.

The main languages spoken in Burkina Faso include;

  • French – 5.02 million speakers;
  • Mossi – 10.03 million speakers;
  • Fula – 1.67 million speakers;
  • Lobi – 418 thousand speakers;
  • Bobo – 209 thousand speakers;
  • Gourmanché – 1.25 million speakers;
  • Bissa – 627 thousand speakers;
  • Bwamu – 418 thousand speakers;
