Obinwannem News End SARS: DJ Switch to address Int'l Criminal Court

Nigerian female disc jockey, Obianuju Catherine Udeh, professionally known as DJ Switch has said that she’ll be addressing the International Criminal Court (ICC) today, 17th December 2020 over the killing of #EndSARS protesters by the Nigerian Armed security men.

Obianuju, a musician, is a witness to the Lekki toll gate killings of unarmed protesters on October 21, 2020, by the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Following threats to her life after she revealed overwhelming evidence against the Nigerian military, Uju is currently seeking refuge in Canada, she has since been granted asylum by the Canadian government.

The singer announced in a tweet on Wednesday, evidently injecting life into the case against Nigeria’s rampant use of deadly force against civilians. ”Tomorrow, 17th of December 2020, I will be speaking at the 19th assembly of states parties to the International Criminal Court.

The tweet reads, ”I know we are all experiencing hardship one way or the other, I know it seems like no one cares enough for Nigeria and Africa to help us fight our oppressors. but this is the generation that does not take NO for an answer! So let me tell you straight up, it will take time. Maybe a long time”.

A huge blow to the government-campaign to suppress investigations into the killings of unarmed protesters at the Lekki Tollgate and in several other locations across the country during the #EndSARS protests.

”So what do we have to lose that we already did not have? Security? Jobs? A working health system? What do we have to lose? Don’t give up! I told you… I’m not great at social media and updates but we are fighting seriously behind the scenes, something will definitely give” Miss Udeh added.
