Anambra State government has dictated a complete lockdown of the state. Anambra recorded its index case of the Coronavirus on Friday, April 10, reports say.

Security operatives have been instructed to arrest violators of the newly placed order, where necessary.

These directives were on Saturday, April 11, given by Governor Willie Obiano, during a broadcast to the state on the new development and is to fully commence today, April 13.

Movement across the state by individuals and groups will not be tolerated now that the comprehensive lockdown has been enforced. Only people on vitally necessary services are permitted to move about, in the delivery of those services to the people.

All boundaries with neighboring states remain closed. There will be no vehicular movement or human traffic across all the boundaries of Anambra State.
