The Management of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, ESUT, has named some designated inroads in the Institution after prominent Nigerians in recognition of their contributions to national development.

While making his presentation to the principal and key officers of ESUT, the Chairman, Committee on Street Naming of ESUT Roads, Prof. Francis Iloeje, said that members of the Committee were thorough and without bias in their selection.

Prof. Iloeje, disclosed that the Enugu-born Nigerian-American novelist, Chimamanda Adichie, was one of the outstanding nominees.

Also in the list of nominees is a global business mogul, philanthropist and Honorary Doctorate Awardee of ESUT, Prince Arthur Eze; and former Pro-chancellor of ESUT, Chief Chilo Offia.

Nine others were equally selected from the three Senatorial Districts in Enugu State.

They include the former Vice Chancellor of ESUT, Prof. Cyprain Onyeji; Igwe John Nwodo; His Lordship Michael Ugwuja Eneja (Enugu North.)

Those selected from Enugu West Senatorial Zone include Chief Daddy Onyeama; Chief. Dr. Sullivan Chime, and Senator Prof. Ike Ekweremmadu.

Those from Enugu East Senatorial Zone are Chief Jim Nwobodo; Senator Ken Nnamani; and Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani.

While commending the Committee members for their thorough job, the Vice Chancellor of ESUT, Prof. Aloysius-Michaels Okolie, described the nominees as great Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in their chosen walks of life.

Members of the Committee include Prof. Francis Iloeje (Chairman); Prof. Emeka Nnamani; Prof. Jude Udenta; Prof. Frank Asogwa; Prof. Chinwuba Owo.

Others are: Prof. Ifeoma Okwo; Prof. Osita Ogbu; Arc. Prof. Augusta Emenike; Prof. Ike Oluka; Engr. Ezekwesili Onah; Paul Agu; and Dr. Mary Iyida (Secretary.)
