A quick glimpse of ndi Igbo in Nigeria

Obinwannem News A quick glimpse of ndi Igbo in Nigeria

A people without leader is like a sheep without shepherd. Unity is not a ‘do or die’ affair. Nigeria should allow Ndi Igbo to go their way. I do not understand all these killings of our brothers and sisters, kith and kins, in the North. Do they want to eliminate Igbo race? God forbid.

When has it become a compulsion that we must be one country. If Nigerians are doing Ndi Igbo good, will the Igbo people continue agitating for self-government? It is because we are not being treated in fairness and justice.

For all intents, the North has “sworn” with every fibre of their being that no Igbo man shall become president; or any occupy any executive office in Nigeria.

There has never been an enabling environment for Igbo entrepreneurs and manufacturers to thrive in Nigeria. Most of them are yet licensed to operate officially. Every major political position is being headed by the Fulani ethnic group. There is injustice and marginalization of Ndi Igbo in Nigeria; and that is why the agitation for a Biafran persists. Trying to silence, or clamp down the agitation is never the solution, but a motivation (to the agitators), figuratively.

The people of Biafra – Igbo and other ethnic nationalities in the Eastern Nigeria – should all come together to fight for their independence. There should not be any saboteur in this struggle, because a house divided against itself cannot stand. Ndi Igbo must fight with one voice and common purpose. A house built on a wrong foundation cannot stand. Nobody will give us freedom; we must fight for it. Change is always constant in an ever changing world.

I believe, ethno-religious sentiments, corruption; and chiefly, marginalization are the problems bedeviling Igbo people in Nigeria.

However, I submit in conclusion, let Igbo groups and/or organizations align themselves to meeting with all the Igbo sitting governors, ministers, senators, and all stake holders, to front a viable Igboland, while we also champions the course of the sovereign state of Biafra.
