Commercial activities were affected in Uga, Aguata LGA, in Anambra State as residents enforces the sit-at-home out of fear of the unknown on Monday, 30th of August.

Many people in the South-East geopolitical region has been accustomed with the sit-at-home, since it was announced by the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, to demand the unconditional release of its leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Subsequently, IPOB has declared in recent times, that the sit-at-home has been canceled, yet the people have made up their mlnd to honor it, despite the change.

Meanwhile, Obinwannem correspondent who visited Uga, Aguata LGA, Anambra state to observe the situation around 10:30am, in a streamlined video said that there were nobody on the streets, and vehicles were sparse on the highway.

A roadside trader who confirmed to Obinwannem News on anonymity said, that the situation has a devastating affect to his business, since he makes his daily living from the proceeds from the business.

He said, “l wouid not say that the situation is bad or good, where i am having challenges is that since morning i opened my shop, nobody has patronized me, because people afraid to come out of their houses to buy anything, and my goods has finished I need to get new stock, I cannot go out because everywhere is on locked down. Monday is a lucrative day for business “.
