Gunfire erupted in Aguluzigbo community, Anambra State, as security forces clashed with gunmen, resulting in the reported deaths of four individuals.

The Anambra gun battle persisted until reinforcements arrived, with at least four security operatives reportedly losing their lives, as confirmed by the state police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga.

The incident happened yesterday at Anaocha Local Government Area of the state.

Casualty figures are yet to be officially verified.
