Obinwannem News 2023 PRESIDENCY: Emir of Daura, pleaded for Amaechi President posters to storm Daura

The Emir of Daura, HRH Faruk Umar Faruk, prayed for the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, whom he described as a goal achiever, to be elevated to a higher office yesterday in Daura, Katsina State.

The revered Emir prayed the prayer while bestowing the title of ‘Dan Amanar Daura,’ which means the trusted son of Daura, on Amaechi.

The event was attended by eminent Nigerians as well as those campaigning for the Minister as President in the run-up to the 2023 elections, who flooded the town with ‘Amaechi for President’ banners.

“We are gathered here to reciprocate the kind gesture done to us by the Hon Minister of Transportation, Chibuke Rotimi Amaechi, for his wholehearted love and support for us,” the Emir said.

As a result, the Daura traditional emirate is obligated to acknowledge the kind gesture. My prayer is that God will elevate you to a higher position.”

According to Faruk, the Daura Emirate bestowed the title on Amaechi in recognition of his contributions to the country’s socioeconomic development, particularly for ensuring the establishment of a Transportation University in Daura and the passage of the Kano-Maradi Standard Gauge Railway line through Daura.

“We don’t give you a title just because you have money.” “We give you in recognition of your sacrifices and impact on people’s lives, as well as your impact on the community and the nation at large,” the monarch said.

Faruk also turbaned an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Nasiru Haladu Danu, who was given the title ‘Tafida Baba’.

Frontier for Peace and Unity (FPU), Amaechi Vanguard, Amaechi 2023 Agenda, and Northern Grassroots Mobilization were among the groups that flocked to the event to rally support for Amaechi for President in 2023.

The turbanning was witnessed by Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Alhaji Muhammadu Nuhu Sanusi (Emir of Dutse), Erin Edet Ekong (Chairman of Cross Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council), Abdullahi Lamido Sunusi (Magajin Garin Kano), Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba (Olorunnimbe Mamora),
