Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, has disclosed the number of students they abducted from the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State; Nigeria’s northwest on Friday.
The terrorist group leader revealed they have 523 students, countering several claims by the Nigerian government, and Katsina State government who had narrowed the number of the kidnapped students to 333.
Meanwhile, the Presidency, through Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, disagreed with the figure, insisting that it was 10 students that were kidnapped.
However, CBS news reports that Shekau has disclosed they currently have 523 children in captivity, in a new audio released to its correspondent.
Parents of the kidnapped students have asked the Federal government to ensure the safe return of their children.
