UCL: Reasons Liverpool may likely not train at the Santiago Bernabeu ahead of Real Madrid clash

Liverpool won’t be having a feel of the Santiago Bernabeu turf ahead of Wednesday’s fixture against Real Madrid, the English side who are faced with the herculean task of overturning the 5-2 first-leg loss to the defending champions won’t be preparing for the game in the usual circumstance as their travel plans mean they will be unable to train on the pitch.

According to Spanish media outfit Mundo Deportivo, the Reds won’t arrive in the Spanish capital until 7 pm on Tuesday. Manager Jurgen Klopp will then head to the Bernabeu with a player for the regular press duties.

It makes a change from the status quo where visiting teams often take to the pitch they are set to play on the day before kick-off.

Even more worse is that they are not expected to leave Madrid immediately after Wednesday’s encounter. Instead they will stay over till Thursday before departing.

Overturning a 3 goals deficit against the most accomplished team in the competition is a really big ask for the Reds who have been surprisingly inconsistent this season.

And this expected shady logistics arrangement won’t do the team’s chances any good, it will most certainly dampen the team’s already slim qualification chances .

however like they say in football “anything can happen”, it is left to be seen if they can defy all odds and shock the Spanish giants in their own backyard.
