Shame on you! FFK berates Nigerian army, praises Trump for rescuing American hostage in Nigeria

Ex-Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani Kayode has berated the Nigerian Army following the rescue of an American citizen who was held hostage in Nigeria by the US special force.

Chief Femi congratulated the U.S President Donald J. Trump for the action while downgrading the Buhari-regime, whom he said were only good at killing innocent citizens.

Chief Femi said, “U.S. special forces rescued an American citizen held hostage in Nigeria yesterday. 6 captors were killed by the Americans. Congratulations to President Donald J. Trump!

“The Nigerian Army is only good at killing its own citizens and the Nigerian President is only good at ordering them to do so.

“Shame on you!” He exclaimed.

US special forces saved the life of Philipe Nathan Walton, 27, an American citizen, kidnapped in Niger last week and rescued in neighboring Nigeria.

In a congratulatory tweet, Saturday, President Trump commended the US special forces saying, “Big win for our very elite U.S. Special Forces today. Details to follow!,”

“Last night, our country’s brave warriors rescued an American hostage in Nigeria.

“Our Nation salutes the courageous soldiers behind the daring nighttime rescue operation and celebrates the safe return of yet another American citizen!” Trump added.

A report stated that the 27-year old Walton was taken by armed captors from his farm in the southwestern region of Massalata, a village near the border with Nigeria in the heart of the Sahel, where jihadist insurgents have killed thousands of people, forcing many to flee their homes.

The American was taken into Nigeria, his captors had demanded a $1 million ransom from Walton’s father before the US SEAL Six team rescued him.

US officials have confirmed that Wanton is safe and in the care of the State Department.

Fani Kayode’s tweet further highlighted the absence of leadership in Nigeria where the army continues to kill innocent citizens, particularly Igbos in the South while leaving the Northern borders at the mercy of jihadist insurgents who continue to carry out their terror activities with ease.
