Obinwannem News Just in: Veteran Nollywood actor Chief Bruno Iwoha is dead

Nollywood, again, has lost another renowned talent and one of its pioneer, Chief Bruno Obinna Iwoha.

Chief Bruno was confirmed dead early hours of Saturday April 10, 2021, after a prolonged diabetes.

This was made known by the Director of Communications Actors Guild of Nigeria, Monalisa Chinda- Coker, in a statement.

The statement reads ; “On behalf of the entire members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, the National President, Ejezie Emeka Rollas commiserates with the immediate family members, friends, and fans. He prays that God comfort them at this moment of grief, may the souls of the faithful departed, ‘rest in peace'”.

According to News made available to Obinwannem, the movie star actor never had diabetes, until a violent armed robbery attack that landed him in the hospital, and made him lose one of his sight, which he was quoted saying it’s ‘glaucoma’.

This also affected the other eyes, last two weeks; he visited one of the best hospital in US, due to his health condition, sponsorsed by CEO Morgan Entertainment, Emeka Morgan Oguejioffor. He arrived to Nigeria in a wheel chair, very sound.

Bruno is also known for his brilliant deliveries of roles, and has made tremendous contributions to the growth and development of the movie industry.

However, Bruno has so far stared in several Nollywood movies such as, “Magic Cup,” “Keeping Close,” “World Apart,” “Two Bad Boys,” “Eagles Bride,” and many others.

He won the best supporting actor Award at the 3rd Africa Movie Academy, for his role in “Sins of the flesh” in 2007.
