Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, on Saturday, sacked the state Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Muazu Magaji, for rejoicing over the passing of the late Chief of Staff to the president, Abba Kyari.
In a statement signed by the state Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba, Muazu Magaji was dismissed over his unguarded remarks, against the late Chief of Staff.
In his first reaction to the news of Kyari’s death, the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Muazu Magaji, said on his Facebook page that, “Nigeria is now free”.
He also took a swipe at the deceased in several other posts on social media.
In one of his posts, he said, “Win-win, Nigeria is free and Abba Kyari ya mutu a cikin annoba ….. Mutuwar shahada in Ha da Imani mutum ya cika!”
“You cannot change history, you are who you are, and what you do define who you are, dead or alive.”
