Emene killings: The use of State violence to suppress IPOB is Unconscionable – Shehu Sani

Senator Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central in the 8th Assembly has condemned Nigeria security operative for killing IPOB members during their meeting at Emene in Enugu on Sunday.

Recall that the Nigeria combined security men on Sunday killed several IPOB members in Emene Enugu during their meeting and arrested several others while some fled with gunshot wounds.

Many prominent leaders, groups in Nigeria, the likes of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Enyinnaya Abaribe, Femi Fani-Kayode, Nzuko Umunna, etc has condemned the attack calling for an investigation to ascertain the truth and bring those behind killings to book.

However, Shehu reacted via his verified Twitter account, he berated Nigeria security operative saying it is wrong to use state violence or support of the use of State violence to suppress IPOB, IMN rallies saying it’s unconscionable.

He further stated that Nigeria has real terrorist groups which are Fulani Herdsmen, Boko Haram, Iswap and ISIS that deserve the Force of arms and anger.

Shehu’s Tweet reads;
“No matter how much the ideas & beliefs of the members of the IMN and IPOB differ with ours, the use of state violence or support for the use of state violence to suppress their rallies or procession is unconscionable”.

“We have terrorists that deserve the force of our arms & anger”.
