Barely three weeks Imo governor Hope Uzodinma, relieved the appointment of twenty (20) commissioners, the governor, in a new development, has reportedly sacked all Special advisers, Senior assistants, and Special assistants, from his cabinets.

This was announced at the Government House, in Owerri the state capital, by the Commissioner of Information, Declan Emelumba, Friday.

The dissolution was the outcome of a recommendation, by a commission earlier set up by the governor, to carry out a performance appraisal of the duties of all SAs and SSAs.

Declan said the report also recommended the need to rejig the appointment for optimal service.

The dissolution of the executive advicers, after sacking twenty (20) Commissioners, earlier, from his cabinet and retained eight (8), in May .

The sack may not be unconnected to the increased level of insecurity in the State.

However, governor Uzodinma, accused the opposition and aggrieved members of the All Progressive Congress (APC), for fueling the rising levels of insecurity in the Southeast State.

The government assured his commitment to proffer solutions to the state security challenges, when he inaugurated security council at the grassroots level.
