Uzodinma fumes over ‘Supreme Court governor’ tag by PDP, petitions NJC, AGF

Hope Uzodinma who was imposed on Imo State as governor by Supreme Court injustice verdict has cried out to the National Judicial Council (NJC) and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, to stop PDP and others from addressing him as “Supreme Court Governor “, this was contained in a petition Hope Uzodinma submitted to them .

Recall that Emeka Ihedioha was democratically elected as Imo State governor during 2019 election by Imolites, but was removed unjustly by the Supreme Court under the Presidency’s order in January and was replaced with Hope Uzodinma who came fourth during the 2019 election .

However, the governor’s petition was addressed to the leadership of National Assembly by Batos Chikezie who is Special Adviser to Uzodinma on Political Matters .

In the petition he ask the publicity secretary for PDP in the state and other loyalists be stopped from using the “supreme court governor” tag as it is derogatory.

The petition reads in part ; “Since the supreme court’s decision on January 14, 2020, “Nwadike continued to refer to Uzodinma as the supreme court governor and Chief Emeka Ihedioha as the elected governor of the state in the print, electronic and social media.”

“We described the tag as “wicked propaganda and blackmail characteristically designed to incite and delude the people of the state thereby misdirecting them to disregard the judiciary.”

He further ask NJC through the Registrar of Supreme Court to make sure Nwadike stand trial using the word “Supreme Court Governor ” persistently making a mockery of his personality and that of the proceedings of Supreme Court on the Imo State gubernatorial election, he also noted that the tag make them to look compromised, biased in the eyes of the public therefore denting on their pedigree and integrity.
