• Georgia secretary of State says ‘there will be a recount’

• It is not over, says Trump

The outcome of the US Presidential election is on a knife-edge as major States have become tied.

In key State Georgia, hopeful Joe Biden has overtaken president Trump in the race to White House. But, the narrow margin in Georgia has put the State into a recount.

Trump cannot afford to lose Georgia’s 16 electoral votes, and Pennsylvania if he is to keep his narrow path to victory alive.

Meanwhile, Trump, through his campaign counsel, Matt Morgan, on Friday insisted that the presidential election is “not over,” saying they are working towards averting defeat.

“The election is not over. The false projection of Joe Biden as the winner is based on results in four States that are far from final,” he said.

Morgan further argued that in Georgia, where Biden currently leads, the race “is headed for a recount”. While in Pennsylvania, where Biden now leads, he said “there were many irregularities”.

However, Morgan maintained that in spite of the minor victories, the campaign team was deprived of “valuable time and transparency;” albeit, there has not been any evidence of fraud so far.
