A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 hit Argentina on Tuesday.
The seismic waves erupted at South West of Pocito, located in Argentina West Central, San Juan province. At least three persons were injured; two children, and an adult.
According to Juan province governor Sergio Uñac, “The shaking caused the collapse of a house, damage to roads and some other building in several cities; as well as power and water cuts.”
The United States geological survey reports (USGR) said the quake was followed by a magnitude 5.0 aftershock, about 15 minutes later; and then at least five more strong after shocks in the next ranging magnitude 5.3 to 4.8 .
Chile also felt the tremor, but there were no immediate damage.
