Chelsea Transfer Update: Confirms date to sign Man Utd Star, Raheem Sterling
Chelsea’s move to sign Raheem Sterling from Manchester City could be wrapped up this week, according to the UK Mirror.
It is understood that Blues owner, Todd Boelhy, has personally made contact with City with a formal bid set to follow. The Premier League champions may be willing to sell for around £55m.
Sterling, 27, has one year left on his £300,000-a-week contract at The Etihad but is desperate to get more playing time.
That has alerted Chelsea with Thomas Tuchel very keen and has already outlined his vision to Sterling and how he would fit into his plans.
Chelsea star, Andreas Christensen reveals reason why he wants to leave club
Chelsea defender, Andreas Christsensen, has explained why he is leaving the Stamford Bridge outfit.
The Denmark international simply said that he needed a new challenge, having spent ten years at Stamford Bridge. Christensen, a youth product of the club, says it was ‘time to leave the club’ after leaving the Blues ‘furious’ with his decision to snub a new deal at Stamford Bridge.
He will be a Barcelona player by July 1 on a free transfer.
Evening Standard reports that before deciding to leave Stamford Bridge, Christensen had agreed terms over a new contract with the Blues, but left manager Thomas Tuchel and the board ‘furious’ when he made a u-turn.
But the Denmark international has explained his reason for dumping Stamford Bridge for Nou Camp, saying in a statement on Monday, “Having spent ten amazing years at this club, I felt now was the right time for a new beginning for me and my family,” he said.
West Ham get big Richarlison hope in David Moyes bid to sign Chelsea striker, Armando Broja
West Ham get big Richarlison hope in David Moyes’ bid to sign prime striker target Armando Broja from Chelsea.
West Ham were first linked with a move for Chelsea-owned Broja earlier this season after seriously catching the eye on loan at Southampton (Football Insider).
Now another Blues striker – Richarlison at Everton – could help the Hammers get their man.
Sky Sports has reported that Broja is on Moyes’s list of striker targets for the summer window with a forward being a top priority for West Ham.
And Sky Sports transfer reporter Dharmesh Sheth claimed recently that Chelsea have set West Ham a fee of more than £25m for Broja, claiming an official bid from the Hammers is imminent.
There were setbacks in West Ham’s plans to sign Broja last week when Telegraph journalist Jason Burt said Chelsea are rejecting any approaches for the Albanian striker and are in no rush to sell him.
Chelsea are rejecting approaches for striker Armando Broja as they assess their squad and what to do during this transfer window. They are in no rush to sell.
Man Utd: Alejandro Garnacho impress Erik ten Hag returns to training early
Alejandro Garnacho is looking to impress the new Man United boss Erik ten Hag by returning to training early.
With a new manager comes the opportunity for a clean slate. The likes of Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial will be looking to take advantage of that.
Another who’ll be hoping to impress the new boss and force his way into the first-team fold is Alejandro Garnacho.
The young Argentine led the U18s to FA Youth Cup glory, while also making his senior debut and earning a full Argentina international call-up.
Not content with just getting his name out there, the hard work continues for Garnacho.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the United starlet has returned to training early as he looks to impress Ten Hag.
Garnacho was involved with the Argentina U20s just a couple of weeks ago. Players who have been away with their country have been granted a three-week holiday after the fact. Instead, the 17-year-old has come back early as he looks to get a jumpstart in 2022/23.
Honestly, you just cannot say enough about Garnacho’s stellar attitude. Some of the senior players could absolutely learn a thing or two from him.
Rather than allowing himself to develop slowly and risk fading into the limelight, Garnacho has taken authority and ensured that he’s in the sights of his new gaffer going into a huge term for Manchester United Football Club.
Liverpool submit offer to sign Barcelona star but face competition from Chelsea
Liverpool have submitted an offer to sign Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, but they face competition from Chelsea.
Dembele is out of contract this summer after failing to agree a new deal with current club Barcelona. The French winger could now leave the club, and he reportedly has offers from five different teams.
That’s according to SPORT, who claim Dembele can now choose between PSG, Barcelona, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich.
It’s no surprise to see the elite clubs attempting to sign Dembele, as the winger has shown a lot of promise during his time at Barcelona. The 25-year-old has suffered regular injuries, but when fit, he’s proven to be a key figure in Barcelona’s side.
