Four Amotekun Security operatives, and some police men were reportedly attacked on Friday by some thugs in Oyo state.

Reports made available to Obinwannem News confirmed that the incident took place at Ona Ara local government area .

Col. Olayinka Olayanju( rtd) Amotekun Commandant in Oyo, Confirmed the attack on the security operatives.

Olayanju said a distress call, alerting the attention of Amotekun corps to help dislodge a group of hoodlums perpetrating violence in the community was recieved from Odeyele community landlord.

The Amotekun operatives were attacked with machete and axes by the gang as they moved into the area to address the situations; four of them sustained serious injuries, and are currently recieving treatment at the ICU of the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan.

Olayanju stated that the corps has eventually commenced investigation.
