Tottenham Transfer Update: Ivan Perisic in Londons for medical checkup

Presently, Ivan Perisic is in London to undergo a medical examination at Tottenham.

The 33-year-old, who can play both as a winger and a forward, will sign a two-year contract and become one of Antonio Conte’s first signings of the summer window.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe Marotta admits he wants to keep Perisic this summer, but failed to convince him to stay at Milan.

“There is regret,” said Marotta on Monday. But he wanted to try a new Premier League experience.

“We weren’t in a position to make better offers, his choice was simply based on a future different from the current one. Maximum respect for this and a big thank you to him too.”

Goalkeeper Fraser Forster has also agreed to sign for Spurs upon the expiration of his contract with Southampton and has already completed medical examinations.

The Northern Irishman has returned to the club 16 years after leaving an academy coaching role.

And speaking of recruitment, that is another area where changes are already emerging.

Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp partied with Luis Diaz’s brother after losing to Real Madrid

Jurgen Klopp and everyone associated with Liverpool didn’t look too disappointed the day after losing the Champions League final to Real Madrid.

The Reds lost 1-0 in Paris despite dominating the 90 minutes. After the heartbreak of losing the Premier League title on the final day of the season, it meant Liverpool’s quadruple dreams had quickly turned into a domestic cup double. But try telling Liverpool fans that it had been a disappointing campaign.

They turned out in their hundreds of thousands to welcome the team home and celebrate an incredible campaign.

Arsenal: keen on signing £25M Youri, two other clubs are interested on securing the midfielder

Arsenal are “still interested” in signing Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Gunners are, however, not pressing ahead with talks to sign the Belgian international at the moment, and Romano claims there are “two other clubs” also keen on securing the player’s signature:

Manchester United and Tottenham have been credited with an interest in Tielemans recently so it’s likely that they are the other teams involved.

Reports have suggested that the 25-year-old could be available for only £25m this summer, with the midfielder now closing in on the final twelve months of his contract.
