Following the petrol tanker explosion yesterday Wednesday the 16th day of October 2019 at Upper Iweka Onitsha the commercial city of Anambra state which wasted uncountable buildings, shops, lives, and properties, a fallacious statement was issued by SP Haruna Mohammed PPRO Anambra State Police Command,

For-Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command that the fire was being controlled. Part of the statement reads that the fire service management has been contacted and so, therefore, the residents should calm down.

We are bringing to the consciousness of humanity that the police report was bribed on deception.

According to the report reaching us from Onitsha by one of our news correspondent who visited the scene as at 8 am today, the fire is still on and almost all the buildings around the axis has been razed down.

People are informing the public to ignore the earlier statement made by the police but look for a way to help the victims out of this danger.

As for the fire service who were allegedly contacted by the police, the recent situation in Ochanja proves that they are yet to arrive after waiting for about 20 hours or more.

An eye witness said that the only fire service present in the area is some of the courageous youths that were around and trying to stop the heavy fire with the water gotten from nearby gutters.

People are asking if the issues on the ground are answerable to the state government of Anambra, what have they done to stop this very incident attack? Or isn’t that government doesn’t have what it take to help this painful loses?

Victims are pleading to the people of goodwill and conscience to please come to their aid since the government of Anambra state has failed them in totality.
