Taliban Imposes Strict New Regulations on Afghan Women
The Taliban has introduced a series of harsh new rules governing the behaviour of Afghan women, further restricting their already limited freedoms.
Under the new regulations, women are forbidden from:

– Speaking loudly in their own homes
– Reading the Koran in public
These rules are the latest in a series of measures imposed by the Taliban since their return to power in Afghanistan, aimed at controlling the lives of women and limiting their autonomy.
The Taliban’s strict interpretation of Islamic law has already seen women banned from education, work, and travel without a male chaperone, and forced to wear full-face veils in public.
Human rights groups have condemned the latest restrictions, saying they violate women’s rights and perpetuate gender-based discrimination.
