The Southern Youth Forum (SYF) has exonerated the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, criminals as not being responsible for killings in Orlu, the group rather blamed the Nigerian millitary personnel as masterminders of the extrajudicial killings in Okporo community on Monday.

This was conveyed by the spokesperson for SYF, Dezie Kue, who said that the attacks was not perpetrated by IPOB or criminals as speculated, but the Nigerian Army carried out the invasion and assault.

Obinwannem News had earlier reported yesterday “Orlu Community attacked by hoodlums, leader beheaded, houses razed”.

A community leader was beheaded, including destruction of homes and cars in Okporo and neighboring communities during the raid.

“The Soldiers are responsible for the attack, not hoodlums, criminals as police and media claim”

During a chat with OAK METRO, Kue said the attack are political, a plot to attack and kill more innocent Igbo youths in the city.

“We have been closely monitoring events, this latest attack was carried out by Nigeria Army. They call it a secret revenge mission.

“Tomorrow they will tell the world that IPOB carried out the attack, but any sane person knows that members of IPOB and ESN will not do such a thing in the community that belongs to them. The police and millitary just want to create a scene, they want to give dog a bad name just to kill it”, he said.

However, the group urge for an independent investigation into the attack and bring the soldiers who embarked on the mission to justice.
