Sit-at-home : Again, Abia resident remained indoors, as business activities cripples

Resident in Ngwa road, Aba, Abia State were plunged into total lockdown as streets, shops, business activities were halted, despite the cancelation of the sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB.

According to Obinwannem correspondent, streets were turned into football field, as students were seen playing football due no vehicular movement.

“As you can see there are no business activities going on in the busy Ngwa road, where traders transact their business is deserted. The market known as Emejiaka which sells on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, was shut down. Though IPOB says it has suspended the sit-at-home, but our people ignored it, saying we want Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to be released.

Recall, Obinwannem earlier reported “IPOB uncovers plots by security operatives to attack S’East residents, says no sit-at-home on Monday”.

The IPOB leadership has insisted that the sit-at-home protest was suspended, and issued warning to all Southeast resident to comply to the new order.

. However, most South East states such as Abia, Enugu, Anambra ignored IPOB’s suspension, as schools, markets, banks and business owners were seen closed.
