Russia first to develop COVID-19 vaccine – Putin

President Vladimir Putin has announced on Tuesday that Russia has developed the first vaccine ”sustainable immunity” against COVID-19.

According to Putin in a televised video conference with his Ministers in the morning, “a new vaccine against Coronavirus has been registered in Russia for the first time in the world”.

Putin said, “one of my daughters had the vaccine and she took part during the experimental test, now she is fine”.

Putin further said that Russia has been working round the clock, pushing very hard to develop Coronavirus vaccine, affirming that earlier this month they will release mass production within weeks and turn out “Several million” doses per month next year.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization has urged Russia last week to follow steps of the COVID-19 guidelines and make sure they go through all the stages required to produce a COVID-19 safe vaccine.
