Obinwannem News PTAD unveils pensioners ‘I am Alive’ Confirmation Solution in Akwa Ibom

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate ‘PTAD’ has launched a new initiative designed for pensioners in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The initiative called; ‘I am Alive’ Confirmation Solution, would address the challenges pensioners encounter in the process of field verification exercises.

Unveiling the platform before South-South pensioners, Executive Secretary of PTAD, Dr. Chioma Ejikeme, said the web-based software would enable the pensioners to confirm their being alive from the comfort of their homes, using either a smartphone or a computer system.

She said: “The new baby we are launching today is the ‘I am Alive’ Confirmation Solution. This is a web-based solution that enables pensioners to get their being alive confirmed from the comfort of their homes, using a smartphone or a computer system.

“We are used to having field verification where we normally move our pensioners from one point to another to get them to know whether they are alive.

First of all, what we normally did was to capture our pensioners in our database to get them verified and having verified, we have to continue to be sure that they are alive, and we don’t want to continue to put them through the process of asking them to come to AkwaIbom, to Rivers, to go and get verified.”
