Obinwannem News Orlu: Tension as military invades community, shoots sporadically

A distress information obtained by Obinwannem News states that men of the Nigerian military invaded communities in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo state.

Eyewitness told our news correspondent that the soldiers had stormed the community at early hours (today) Monday, shooting sporadically, with the aim of killing and aiming.

The eyewitness who pleaded anonymous further stated that the invasion is connected with the previous clash between the soldiers, and personnels of the Eastern Security Network.

Obinwannem had reported an incedent where the Nigerian soldiers clashed with Eastern Security Network.

The security outfit was launched by the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to protect the Eastern territories against banditry, killer herdsmen and the terrorist Boko Haram group.

However, the Nigerian security forces are in the move to clamping down on the ESN, denying them the right to defend themselves.

This has warranted the unnecessary search of the Eastern Security Network by the military, police and other Nigerian security forces.

Investigation into the Orlu invasion proves that about 4 persons have been injured and taken to the hospital for treatments.

Further reports states that residents in the Okporo village where the invasion is taking place have deserted the area.
