Obinwannem News Orlu community decries planned military invasion - Obinwannem News

Residents of Umuntaze Community in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State has lamented over possible (planned) attack by men of Nigerian armed forces.

Speaking with our correspondence Monday morning, Mr Tobias a resident of the community told Obinwannem News of the uncovered plan.

Investigation by our team revealed that the planned invasion was not unconnected with the earlier ‘clash’ between some police officers, and personnels of the Eastern Security Network.

Recall that Obinwannem had reported an incident

In a video circulated online, ESN personnels were heard saying the Police men had come to “arrest” them.

Expressing worries over the incident, Tobias noted that the community was able to uncover plans by the military to invade the community through an anonymous source.

He also stated that the lives of the people were in danger, pleading that all well-meaning native of the region raise their voices in protest against the invasion.

The Eastern Security Network is a security apparatus launched to secure the Eastern territories against all forms of banditry and terrorism.
