Orji congratulates Soludo on becoming Governor of Fiscal Prudence.
The Mayor of Onitsha South Local Government Area and Soludo National Convener for 2025, Hon. Sir Emeka Orji, Oba Armani, commended Anambra State Executive Governor Prof. Charles Soludo for becoming Nigeria’s most fiscal governor.
The Onitsha Mayor remarked that he is not surprised because the governor has maintained a track record and pedigree in the use of public funds during his tenure as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. Soludo was named the greatest African Central Bank Governor and the global winner in 2005, 2006, and 2007.
In less than three years, Soludo has demonstrated a dedication to cautious fiscal management, culminating in the state’s inclusion in the fiscal performance for the first time. We praise the Governor for using ego Ndi Anambra in the correct path.
In a related event, Anambra State was placed among the top five best fiscal performers in the country by the BudgiT 2023 Fiscal Transparency Index publication, rising to third place in 2024. “Prof. Soludo is the only Governor that equates input of public office holders with their output; thereby reducing the wastage in governance”, Oba Armani made clear.
