Obinwannem News Nnamdi Kanu blames Ohaneze, Igbo leaders over persistent genocide against Biafrans

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, has faulted the igbo socio-cultural group Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, Igbopolitical class and other Igbo leaders for the persistent genocide against the Easterners.

In a brief statement made available to Obinwannem News, Kanu noted that Igbo leaders are the reason the world including the United nations overlooked the death of over 5 million Biafrans who were killed in the 90s.

Kanu also noted that the Biafra genocide is the second worst of its kind after the Jewish holocaust.

He said, “The only reason why the death of over 5 million #BiafranGenocide victims brutally exterminated by the Nazi-like evil Nigerian regime of Yakubu Gowon, aided by the British, is NOT officially acknowledged or recognised by the United Nations and the world at large as a GENOCIDE is because of the complicity of Ohaneze, Igbo political class and serial denial of Igbo ethnicity by some misguided Igbos like Wike. This is a scandal!

“#BiafraGenocide is the second worst incident of mass murder of any race of people in modern history, only behind the Jewish holocaust. Ask yourself why this fact has been airbrushed from history books?

“Astonishing as it may sound, the irresponsible behaviour of these post-war poorly schooled Igbo politicians is what gave rise to this travesty. Things weren’t this way in the past. Eastern political office holders of old, BEFORE 1967, loved their people and protected them against the excesses of Janjaweedism.

“That Biafra genocide denial persists to this day is part of the reason for the #Obigbo massacre. This abomination will end once #Biafra is restored.”
