The COVID19 global pandemic has given rise to many challenges in different countries of the world. For many, the challenges have been quite overwhelming causing some countries to seek help from other countries.
China has been in the frontlines of the war against the deadly virus having supplied medical aids to countries in Europe that have been hit the most by the disease and donating aids to several other African countries for which Nigeria has also been a beneficiary.
Nigeria has reported 2 deaths and 195 confirmed cases of the COVID19 This has prompted many to encourage patronizing local producers of personal protective materials, PPE in an effort to reduce the importation of foreign equipment as many of them have been found to be defective and in some cases contaminated with the Coronavirus.
These events of recent times have given rise to local productions of PPE of varying designs and quality such as face masks, gloves, sanitizers, etc. A welcome development and a wake-up call for all Nigerians to patronize our locally made goods.
