The meeting commenced around 3pm Biafra Time, after the opening remarks from our General Director (Mazi Ugwu Okechukwu), who started with a report of what was going on with the leadership of Obinwannem in Imo State, and his disappointment over the manner at which the present Imo State leadership headed, by Mazi Onyeze na Jakarta, is approaching the issues at hand. He called on other States executive officials to make their inputs, for the general progress and welfare of Obinwannem worldwide.
On his report, he tried to take us back to where we started for the sake of the new members pointing out the fact that challenges and problems both from within and outside has never been a barrier to this vision in Obinwannem and would never be.
He emphasised on the essence of rust and the relevance of agreement in anything we do in life, and his expectations from administrators of each state; in accordance with the vision he was given by “Nna anyị Igbò”.
Speaking further, the CEO explained what Obinwannem was passing through in Imo State and his disappointment over the fact that their leader ‘Onyeze na Jakarta’ decided to keep quiet over all that has been going on, even when his people were expecting him to address the house as a leader. Mazi Okechukwu enjoined every administration to challenge him as a leader anytime he deviates from the objectives of Obinwannem.
Mazi Okechukwu, expressing dissatisfaction, told the house that ‘Onyeze na Jakarta’ decided to resign from his office without any formal reasons of what transpired in his jurisdiction; recalling a similar incidence that happened in Abia State Chapter and how it was handled.
He expressed his Fear and reasons for being disturbed over the current happening in Imo State; because “I would not want to have a repeat of my experience with Anosike, which was very hard for him before it was finally handled, which is the reason why he brought this report to the General house for the Sake of Love and the Brotherhood we are building for the future of Igbo Nation and he also stressed that as a Leader in Obinwanne at any level that you must not be a religious person because Religion is one of our major Distraction in actualizing this Dream of Restoring the Igbo Nation to where we all belong.
After the Report he then made a humble and peaceful call to Onyeze na Jakarta (Imo State leader) to come and either explain to all the administrators what exactly was the problem or go back to his House (Obinwanne Imo State Chapter) as a father and address his home.
Agenda of the Meeting was centered around the ‘foundation, affairs, conducts of Obinwannem and the rules guiding every single member of Obinwannem.
