Michael Carrick Makes Big Changes Ahead Of Tomorrow’s Game

Obinwannem News Michael Carrick Makes Big Changes Ahead Of Tomorrow's Game

Manchester United will be traveling to London this weekend as they face Chelsea at Stamford bridge. The display against Villarreal gave them confidence and momentum ahead of this game.

Manchester United care taker Michael Carrick and his back staff believe the red devils have qualities to win this game and they will try to defend well. This will be good test for Carrick considering the red devils performance has been questionable over past few years.

According to reports from the clubs training grounds, line up against Chelsea will be twisted to allow pressing and defending well. Van De Beek could retain his place while Fred starts from the bench while Bruno Fernandes will be starting. The Portuguese got a shock start from the bench against Villarreal and he really played well in the second half.

The red devils will be changing formation to 4.3.3 which will allow more pressing and finding goals. Christiano Ronaldo will be kept at the front while Sancho and Rashford on the wings. This will allow them to cover the defense lines as they did against Villarreal on Tuesday night.

On the defense line, Harry Maguire is ruled out due to the red card he has while Varane and Pogba are sidelined due to injuries.

This means that Erick Bailey will replace Maguire at the center back. Manchester United are also yet to assess Luke Shaw who had a knock and his fate will be determined today in the evening. Even if he is fit he will start from the bench as Alex Telles starts in the starting 11.
