The leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has resurfaced an overwhelming evidence of how the Obigbo Local Government Area in Rivers State was renamed Oyigbo.
This is happening after the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike denied being an Igbo Man, and also frowned at IPOB for allegedly renaming the Oyigbo town to Obigbo.
The IPOB leader in reaction, noted that from the time of his ancestors, the name has always been Obigbo and not Oyigbo.
Backing up his assertions with a pictorial evidence showing a memorandum of understanding by the people of Ogoni to the then Justice of the Federation, Mamman Nasir in 1976.
Kanu’s quotes, “TO THOSE MORONS IN THE ZOO MEDIA AND IGBO EFULEFUS THAT HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF IGBO HISTORY, THE NAME IS #OBIGBO NOT OYIGBO.
”From the time of my ancestors the name was #Obigbo and it shall remain #Obigbo. All the Oyigbo nonsense from self haters like Ezenwa (Ezenwo) Nwike (Wike) is because they are ignorant of history and are willing tools for the Janjaweed caliphate in their age-long quest to conquer, subjugate and Islamise the local populations.
”And to all of you pseudo intellectuals, fake Igbos and Janjaweed fathered traitors basking in the macabre euphoria that #IPOB are being killed in #Obigbo, I have news for you, #OperationPythonDance organised by the more intelligent and resourceful Ohaneze and South East Governors did not break our resolve, is it the insanity of a mad man suffering from identity crisis that will?
”When the rain begins to fall and very soon it shall remember the victims of #ObigboMassacre not the perpetrators of these heinous crimes committed by Wike against the innocent.”
