The leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has resurfaced an overwhelming evidence of how the Obigbo Local Government Area in Rivers State was renamed Oyigbo.
This is happening after the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike denied being an Igbo Man, and also frowned at IPOB for allegedly renaming the Oyigbo town to Obigbo.
The IPOB leader in reaction, noted that from the time of his ancestors, the name has always been Obigbo and not Oyigbo.
Backing up his assertions with a pictorial evidence showing a memorandum of understanding by the people of Ogoni to the then Justice of the Federation, Mamman Nasir in 1976.
Kanu’s quotes, “TO THOSE MORONS IN THE ZOO MEDIA AND IGBO EFULEFUS THAT HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF IGBO HISTORY, THE NAME IS #OBIGBO NOT OYIGBO.
