Obinwannem News MASSOB rejects Ohaneze's call for negotiation

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has neglected the offer of invitation from Ohaneze Ndigbo, for public resolve to counter the security state of Igbo’s.

This ensued as the leadership of Biafra Independence Movement, BIM, described those perpetrating violence in the Southeast as “anti-Igbo elements”.

However, Ebonyi government, yesterday, ordered the closure of illegal and private motor parks not expressly approved by the Ministry of Capital City Development, in its bid to control the movement of arms and ammunition and general insecurity within the Abakiliki metropolis.

In a related development, former senator Mao Ohunabunwa queried the responsibility of the security agencies hunting for suspected members of the Eastern Security Network, ESN, in the South East, while bandits and terrorists are sacking communities in the North, and taking over their ancestral land almost unchallenged.

MASSOB, in its admonition to Ohaneze, urged the apex Igbo group to be diplomatic and apply wisdom when addressing issues affecting the Igbo race.

Comrade Uchenna Madu, on behalf of the group, in a brief statement said:

“It is unacceptable to MASSOB, to be invited publicly for an Igbo internal security affair.

“Ohaneze Ndigbo should be sensitive and diplomatic in its approaches concerning issues that matters so much on Igbo interests in Nigeria.

“They should avoid the situation where Abuja political cabals hijack any meaningful venture or step that will redeem Ndigbo from subjective slavery in Nigeria.

” MASSOB, as a stake holder in Igbo project will align with relevant and Igbo organizations and individuals in protecting and seeing the future of our people.

“The security of lives and properties of Ndi-Igbo is Paramount now. Ohaneze should not play politics with our future,” the group said.
