Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes, has said the club is closer to winning trophies with the return of his Portuguese teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Fernandes is among those who played a key role in bringing back Ronaldo to United after the 36-year-old spent 12 years at Real Madrid and Juventus.
The former Sporting Lisbon player who was quoted by United’s website revealed that Ronaldo’s return has sparked confidence in the players.
“We know the enthusiasm will be red hot, everyone knows Cristiano is in the house,” Bruno said.
“Everyone is very confident and happy that he is back, the players too.”
“We know what he can give us, and our focus, like Cristiano’s, is to win,” Fernandes continued.
“With him, we know we are closer to winning [trophies]”
Ronaldo is expected to make his second debut when United take on Newcastle this weekend.
