Spanish Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to a statement issued by the club.

The La Casa Blanca ‘The White House’ in a short statement announced that the 48-year-old former French legend Zidane had the virus.

Howbeit, Madrid gave no further information about his condition or any implications for the playing squad.

Real Madrid speaking about Zidane said: “He will thus have to quarantine at his home and will miss Madrid’s matches away to Alavés and at home to Levante.

Real are second in the table after 18 games, seven points adrift of Atletico, who also have a game in hand.
