The former FC Barcelona striker cancelled out Santi Mina’s opener at half-time, before scoring again at the 50th minute to put Atletico Madrid 2:1 ahead of Celta Vigo.
Facunda ferreyra netted a late equalizer for the visitors, but Atletico Madrid is still right points clear ahead of Barcelona and Zidane’s Real madrid with an outstanding game.
Suarez’s summer signing has made a positive marks in La Liga and Atletico Madrid. He is currently in the race for La Liga top scorer awards after netting 16 goals in 17 appearances.
The striker becomes the fastest player in La Liga to reach 16 goals for the same team this century breaking a record set by christiano Ronaldo in the 2009 / 2010 season, prior to his move to the La Liga top side.
