Lekki Massacre: Amry opens fire on peaceful protesters, scores dead
The Nigerian Army on Tuesday night opened fire on the #EndSARS peaceful protesters. The shooting which lasted about an hour, saw to the killings of about thirty people, while hundreds injured.
“At first, we saw technicians disconnecting the street cameras and street lights were put off; a few minutes later, the shooting started,” an eyewitness tells Obinwannem via a phone call.
“They shot us, killed a number of people and refused the medical team access to treat the wounded, we have lost not less than twenty persons to the shooting,” another eyewitness tells Obinwannem on the phone.
Meanwhile, some angry youths took to the streets and set the popular Orient hotel owned by Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Obinwannem also gathered that the death rate of victims is tolling high every single minute.
