Legendary singer Emeka Morocco dies at 73. Chief Emeka Morocco manuka the oldest man alive in Egwu Ekpili music crooner has died at the age of 73 years , Emeka died Thursday afternoon, October 29, 2020 .
The heartbreaking news was confirmed by Ikeme Mazeli the Chairman of the Performing Musicians Association Of Nigeria (Anambra Chapter) in a statement he released to Press .
The statement reads:
”With a heavy heart of sorrow…We, the entire Anambra state PMAN announce the exit of a music Legend, Dr Prince Morroco Maduka…..Ozonweluibe. He passed on this afternoon (Thursday, October 29th, 2020). All other arrangements as regards his planting to mother earth will be communicated to all of us later.”
However Morocco’s death comes after a few months he celebrated his 60 years anniversary as a musician.
Prince Morocco’s most populous songs is ‘Ochuba Aku’ which is known as one of the most played highlife songs in Igboland and beyond.
Emeka Morocco was born in Ukwulu Anambra State , he started his music career at the age of 13 years .
