Land Dispute Turns Deadly in Ebonyi State
Akaeze Community Pleads for Help After Brutal Attack.

The peaceful community of Akaeze in Ivo LGA, Ebonyi State, is reeling from a horrific attack by their neighbours in Ishiagu. The long-standing land dispute between the two communities has escalated into violence, leaving a trail of death and destruction.

On November 11th, during the Orie market day, a group from Ogwor community in Ishiagu stormed into Akaeze farms, unleashing a brutal assault that claimed the lives of numerous innocent people, including both men and women. This isn’t the first time tensions have flared between the two communities.

The dispute began months ago, back in April or May. Despite the intervention of the Ebonyi State government through the Ministry of Land and Boundaries Adjustment Agency, the conflict has persisted.

Now, the people of Akaeze are desperate for help. They’re calling on the state government, Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, and even the federal government to step in and prevent further bloodshed. As the situation remains volatile, we’ll monitor developments and provide updates.
