Just in: Senators Asks FG to Take U.S Warnings Over ISIS and al-Qaeda Serious
The Senators have asked the Federal Government to take seriously the warnings of the United States of America over the impending invasion of North-west, by the Islamic State of Iran and Syria, ISIs and al-qaeda.
The warning includes the penetration of the deadly terrorist towards the South into the littoral areas of the country, the US had warned.
Obinwannem news gathered that some Senators which include; Chairman, Senate Services Committee, Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, All Progressives Congress, APC, Niger East; and Senator Chukwuka Utazi, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Enugu North, in reaction, called on the military to further recruit as many of the nation’s unemployed youths as possible to protect Nigeria’s territorial integrity, adding that the Federal Government needs to make hay while the sun shines.
Meanwhile, the apex Igbo Socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo; the Pan-Yoruba Socio-Political Organisation, Afenifere; and Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Aare Gani Adam’s, had also lambasted the government and security chiefs over their inefficiencies and their failed strengths to handle the country’s security sector.
