Obinwannem News IPOB's lawyer's residence under seige by security operatives

ANAMBRA – Reports reaching Obinwannem Media revealed that the hometown of Mr Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Esq., defence counsel of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been under attack, by a combination of Nigerian security forces; said to have included soldiers, policemen, and officials of the Department of State Security, DSS in Anambra State.

This was disclosed by former Minister of Aviation, Chief Olufemi Kayode, on Sunday. According to him, the security agents have been firing sporadically in a bid to kill the lawyer.

““I just spoke with Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor who is one of my lawyers & a lawyer to IPOB & @MaziNnamdiKanu. He told me that his Anambra home has been flooded by soldiers, policemen & DSS operatives & that they are shooting in an attempt to kill him.

” For God, sake stop the violence,” Fani Kayode tweeted.

Ejiofor also raised alarm, via a statement on his Facebook page he wrote.

“Joint team of the police and army are presently in my house shooting sporadically on sight, to arrest me. As a lawyer, I have committed no offence known to law. My life is under serious threat. People are being killed, and I don’t know what will happen to me next.

“I just returned home yesterday, for a burial, second bloody invasion of my home. May God save us all. You may not hear from me after now,” Ejiofor lamented.

This is the second time IPOB’s lawyer has been faced with such foray. The initial incident transpired sometime in December 2019, when his house was plundered and razed down by sponsored assailants believed to have been” after his life,” supposedly for his involvement in IPOB cases. The matter, however, is still in court and has yet to be ruled.
