Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has officially launched a security shield, in the name of ‘Eastern Security Network’.

“We are setting up the Eastern Security Network to combat the excessses of this vagabonds from the Sahel; along the same line as Amotekun,” Kanu said. “What we are launching today, officially, before the congregation of a global audience is the Eastern Security Network”.

The IPOB leader made an official recognition of the new security outfit in a special radio broadcast Saturday evening .

He noted that the security apparatus was designed to “protect, and safeguard the entire Biafra territory from the oppression of Fulani killer-herds men”.

“We cannot allow what happened in Obigbo, at Nkpor, in Aba, in Afaraukwu, in Emene, to repeat anymore. Today, we are sending a note of warning to all those that delight in shedding the blood of Biafrans, and innocent people right across the length and breadth of the zoological Republic called Nigeria,” Kanu highlighted.

Kanu explained that the Eastern Security Network is not part of the Biafra army, but is meant to function like the Western Amotekun.

He further said, that the importance of setting up the outfit was necessitated following the recent deteriorating state of security in Nigeria.

Kanu berated the South-East and South-South governors for failing their responsibility as the custodian of the land. He also faulted the Nigerian government, and the International Criminal Courts over their inability to intervene over the recent killings perpetratrated by the Boko Haram terrorists, ISWAP and killer herds men.

“We have coward and spineless, lily-livered idiots as governors. They have given our land to the ‘Janjaweed’ to occupy in perpetuity. This very generation, this very IPOB will never tolerate it His words, “We are letting them know that our land is under occupation, we are presenting to the world our line of defense.

“From this day onwards, any death of a Biafran will be avenged. If you kill us, we will kill you.

“We are not going to war, but we shall defend our land against the Fulani janjaweed.

“Our mothers shall return to their farms without fear of being killed, and our daughters shall walk freely without fear of being raped and killed.

“It has fallen on this generation to defend our land, we shall defend Biafra territories just like Amotekun is defending the entire Odu’a territory,” he said.
