IPOB declared an unexpected sit at home in the whole of Igbo land on Thursday, September 9, 2021, in the protest against the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to Imo state. The unexpected sit at home was really observed by some people while some other people didn’t observe it.
According to the correspondent who observed the situation, all the banks in Nsukka ,Enugu state was not operating also the Ogige main market was totally shut down. All the roads in Nsukka town were deserted regarding the sudden sit at home.
In addition, it was observed that “Obolo Afor market ” Nsukka, was operating in full measure regardless of the sudden sit at home declared by the IPOB. There were free movement in the market as if nothing was happening or that they were not aware of the sit at home.
This sit-at-home has been observed in the South-East geopolitical zone every mondays for the past five weeks but, the coming of the president Muhammadu Buhari to Imo state triggered a sudden sit at home on Thursday 09/09/2021 in Igbo land.
