Lead counsel to the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Ifeanyi Ejiofor has asked the general public to disregard reports claiming British High Commission in Nigeria, Catarina Laing visited Kanu, who is currently held in the detention facility of the Department State Service DSS, after his visit to his client on Thursday.
Ejiofor reveals that the news was “misleading and false”.
According to Ejiofor, the story was compiled by mischief makers who are bent on circulating fake news.
He said, “for your information, neither the British High Commission in Nigeria, nor anyone representing them has visited our client- Mazi Nnamdi Kanu at DSS detention facility, where he is currently being held in communicado I can authoritatively confirm this position to you today.
“When i talk about collaboration between the British Government and those that kidnapped our client in Kenya, i meant everyword spoken there.
“Thankfully, force of law has been activated through judicial process, before the British Court to ensure that their statutory obligation over their Nationale is asserted, without further ado. However, he commended truthful media platforms, and encouraged the public to visit appropriate social media handles for accurate information happening around his client, Nnamdi Kanu.
