Bemigho Reno Omokri, Spokesperson to former president Jonathan, has condemned the Saturday killings of over 70 farmers, and fishermen in Zabarmari, Jere Local Government Area of Borno State.
Omokri, a staunch critic of the Buhari-led administration stated that the president is a “hypocrite” who lacked focus to tackle insecurity in the country.
In a series of tweet Monday, Omokri noted that Buhari was busy releasing press statements rather than taking actions that would see to the elemination of terrorists, and bandits in the north.
“Back to back killings in Northern Nigeria. Boko Haram kill 110 farmers in Zabarmari, according to the @UN.
“Herdsmen killed 8 in Kaduna. And the man who asked @GEJonathan to resign because of insecurity is sitting at Aso Rock releasing statements. So hypocritical.”
“The sad thing is that instead of protecting the lives of Nigerians, General @MBuhari spent the last 2 weeks hyper focused on his plan to censor social media.
“If he’d been as focused on censuring Boko Haram, 110 farmers would not have died such a horrible death,” Omokri tweeted.
