The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has created additional registration centers in Anambra State as a result of voter surge.
This has brought the number of centers to 87 in the State for the ongoing continuous registration exercise.
Anambra State Resident Electoral Commissioner REC, Dr Nkwachukwu Orji, disclosed this at the INEC headquarters in Awka while briefing reporters
He said INEC has reopened some Local Government Area Offices that were shut down as a result of insecurity.
Specifically, on Tuesday, he said the Idemili North Office was reopened and have resumed registration exercise in Ogbaru and Ayamelum local councils.
