Following a notice issued to the Fulani herders to vacate the Ibarapa Local Government Area forest in Oyo state, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the arrest of Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho.

Igboho’s pending arrest was revealed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, during an interview with BBC Hausa.

Prior to the planned arrest of Igboho, an Igbo born, Ngozi Onadeko was deployed to the State on Friday, 15th January as the State’s Commissioner of Police.

Onadeko has also been ordered to ensure Igboho’s arrest by the Inspector General of Police.

According to Shehu, ‘the IGP told him on the phone that the new Commissioner of Police (CP) in Oyo State, Ngozi Onadeko, has been ordered to arrest Igboho immediately and transfer him to Abuja.

In a recent report, None can stop Oduduwa Republic – FFK that Igboho ordered herdsmen in Ibarapa Local Government Area of Oyo State to leave within seven days, following various activities of bandits in the area.
